Louis Weiser, RIP

We’re saddened at the passing of former Deputy Commissioner of DOI and past president of the Council of Jewish Organizations Louis Weiser, who was a very vocal supporter of the civil service system

AFSCME Lobby Day, Albany

Members who signed up for the AFSCME Lobby Day in Albany Tuesday, March 4, buses will be leaving a 7:00 a.m. at DC 37, 125 Barclay Street, Manhattan. Buses will return by 7:00 p.m. 

Clarification on Bereavement

During Delegate Training March 1, the grievance staff provided correct information that grandchildren are included in bereavement leave. Vice President of Negotiations and Research Rose Lovaglio-Miller later said that she misspoke during the training when she said that grandparents were included.

Delegate Training Reminder: March 1, DC 37

Reminder: Delegate Training will take place Saturday, March 1 at DC 37 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, and breakfast will be served at 8:00 a.m. (lunch will also be provided). Delegates and Alternates who attended the October retreat should bring their materials if they still have them. 

Please bring your gray t-shirt from the October retreat. 

Watching "The Organizer"

DC 37 Local 375 will be hosting a viewing of "The Organizer" tonight (Feb. 26) at DC 37, Rooms 1-2. at 6:00 p.m.
