Important Notice Regarding Your EETP Application

"You did not complete the required Education and Experience Test Paper (EETP) for SUPERVISOR II & III (SOCIAL SERVICES) (PROM) Exam. The examination will be closed at midnight of 04/13/2012/ Please complete the EETP prior to midnight of 04/13/2012. Refer to the Notice of Examination to see which sections of the EETP need to be completed.

DCAS Emails

Members have alerted the Union this morning that DCAS is sending emails to members. The Union is looking into it. 

New York City Housing Authority Chapter

The NYCHA Delegates and Alternates will be meeting on Tuesday, April 10, 6:30 p.m. at 817 Broadway 12th floor. Please come and join us.

Latino Heritage Committee

The Latino Heritage Committee will be meeting on Monday, May 7, 6:30 p.m. at 817 Broadway, 12th floor. Light refreshments will be served. Please come join us.  

Averting Layoffs

The Union is currently in discussions with the Commissioner of ACS and the City Council to prevent the layoff of 24 Child Welfare Specialists. We will keep you informed on this important issue.

Assault Bill Update

SSEU Local 371 members will be going to Albany May 1,2012 to lobby for passage of the Assault Bill. We will be targeting State Assembly legislators who are members of the Codes Committee. Please submit your form to DC 37 by April 20 or call Michelle Akyempong at (212) 598-7055.

Additions to Gross

The Union has been successful in getting the Child and Family Specialists and Program Evaluators (incumbents) the 5.47 percent additions to gross.  It will be rolled into their salaries. This is a one-time payment. Future payments will have to be negotiated through the collective bargaining process or OCB.

Filing for Sup II, Sup III

Filing for the Supervisor II (social services and social worker) and Supervisor III exams has reopened from April 4 to April 13. Those persons who did not file for Exam No. 2522 can do so now.

Please call the Union if you have any questions. If you have not received a refund then you do not need to refile.
