As Trustees, we are pleased to continue to keep you apprised of the benefits offered by the Annuity Fund, as well as changes made to the Social Service Employees Union Local 371 Annuity Fund Plan.

The Trustees have appointed John D. Brown, as Plan Administrator and Helen Wilson as Associate Administrator of the Plan.

The Plan maintains an account for each Member employed on June 1, 1999, who was employed on active pay status during all or part of the period June 1, 1996 - May 31, 1997, to which the City of New York made a one-time contribution based on the number of days worked during 1996 - '97 period, in accordance with the provisions set forth in the April 1, 1995 to March 31, 2000 Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Social Services Employees Union Local 371 and the City of New York.

In addition, and pursuant to recent rounds of collective bargaining, the Plan also maintains an account for each Member employed on or after June 30, 2002, to which the City of New York makes annual contributions, based on the number of days worked, in accordance with the provisions set forth in the April 1, 2000 to June 30, 2002 Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Social Service Employees Union Local 371 and the City of New York. The annual contribution based on the terms of this Agreement is added to the existing account of eligible Members employed on June 1, 1999, and who were in active pay status during all or a part of the period June 1, 1996 through May 31, 1997.
